Celebrating The Women of Ufology

As the subject of UFOs (or UAP) seeps into the public conscience with the news that an official department within the Pentagon is to be created to investigate the enigmatic phenomena following the Presidential sign-off of the 2022 NDAA, the online magazine, Shadows Of Your Mind, has taken the unprecedented step in dedicating an extensive article dedicated to some of the incredible women who pioneered some of the best UFO research in modern history. The feature can be found in the latest issue of the alternative magazine which was published on Tuesday 14th December 2021.

A popular publication within the UFO community, Shadows Of Your Mind was launched online from the UK in 2017 and is dedicated to bringing the best articles and interviews with some of the biggest names in UFO research and investigation.

Creator and publisher Dave Partridge, a graphic designer with over 20 years of experience in the magazine publishing industry, commented: "The UFO research community has long been viewed as an 'old boys club'. We wanted to demonstrate that the field would be a much poorer place if it wasn't for some of these great female pioneers. People like Coral Lorenzen, who formed the largest civilian UFO research group, APRO, during the 1950s."

The issue is 'Guest Edited' by former MUFON Star Team leader Chase Kloetzke, herself a published author and field investigator. Dave explained the decision to have her involved.

"When I was planning the article earlier this year, I knew that Chase would be the perfect person to assist. With the exception of legendary UFO researcher Linda Moulton Howe, Chase is probably one of the strongest and most headstrong women in the UFO community. Her knowledge, advice, and encouragement have been invaluable throughout the production of this issue."

As well as some of the leading researchers of the past, the feature includes interviews with many names who are currently active within UFO research, from authors and podcasters to documentary makers.

"I don't know of any other magazine, podcast, or radio show that has attempted something like this to raise awareness of these pioneers so I think that is important, especially today. There are some fantastic female researchers and commentators out there and hopefully, this comes through in the article and encourages people who may not necessarily be into the subject as a whole, to seek them out." Dave said. 

The bumper Christmas and New Year issue runs to 120 pages and has many other articles of interest pertaining to not only ufology but also the paranormal and cryptozoology.
